Sweet Thing Gourmet, Booth #44, North Corridor - East
Benjamin Franklin introduced rhubarb to America, sending seeds to John Bartram in 1770. And boy, am I ever thankful! Rhubarb is one of my favorite ingredients to use in jams. Its tartness is the perfect foil for the sugar needed for proper preservation.
Another fun fact: this jam, named in honor of Benjamin Franklin, is excellent on everything from biscuits to ham and even ice cream, making it the perfect addition to your Easter celebration. I’m sure Old Ben would approve.
Sweet Grass of Ohio, Booth #51, North East Corridor (near Pies & Pints entrance)
NEW LOCATION!
Sweet Grass is still with us, just in a new location. Find their pasture-raised meat and dairy products in Booth #51 this Saturday and again on 4/18.

Bocado Flavor Co. and Wootown Bagels
Got these amazing bagels and REALLY wanted to make lox so that I could put La Sirena on it (she’s a mermaid, she is MADE to go with things from the sea!), BUT I had no salmon. So I made carrot lox marinated in La Madre. And when I tell you that the fact that it has taken me this long to get those two ladies (La Madre and La Sirena) together is a shame…..I mean IT IS A SHAME! Oh man, new favorite couple!!
McCarty Farmstead & Braised and Broiled Bakeshop
Proof that simple ingredients don’t have to be simple. Our smoked chuck roast, melty dill fontina cheese, caramelized red onion, spicy brown mustard all between a grilled gluten-free baguette from Braised and Broiled Bakeshop.
SNAP/EBT & Produce Perks
In April, produce with very short seasons starts growing. You might start seeing morels, ramps, and strawberries at your local farmers’ markets. Visit producePERKS.org for locations near you.
Pssst! Rumor has it that Franklinton Farms, Blue Owl Garden Emporium and, possibly, Stonefield Naturals may have ramps tomorrow!
Lost & Found at the Market
We get some really interesting items in our Lost & Found basket. Recognize anything? Stop by the info booth and claim it soon. Unclaimed items will be donated or recycled at the end of the indoor market season (April 25).
